SYNC LINK-
Parallel Wheelpath Linkage
The SYNC LINK provides:
Consistent Handling- this is the first bike with a largely constant wheelbase during suspension compression.
Lower Force Transmissibility- it will absorb bumps better.
Automatic Front Wheel Traction- the compression of the suspension weights the front wheel for you, so you don’t have to think about shifting your weight.
The SYNC LINK is patent pending.
Trains & a legendary mathmatician
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pafnuty_Chebyshev
Our linkage was inspired by Pafnuty Chebyshev (1821-1894) and his linkage. In the 19th century they encountered the same problem that we had- the need to turn rotational motion into linear motion. In Chebyshev’s case, he was trying to turn the reciprocating motion of an engine piston into the rotational motion of a train wheel. In our case, we were trying to turn the rotation of the shock into linear motion of the wheel. In designing our SYNC LINK we have created just one more modern implementation of Chebyshev’s brilliant ideas. Many of Chebyshev’s ideas are still taught and used today- such as his polynomials for the modelling of modern x-ray crystallographic data.
